My oldest daughter will be turning 30 this year so in honor of her birthday I will be having a give-away! The give-away will be for 30 FQ's!!!
To enter you will need to post here to this thread, leave a comment as to what fabrics you like best, and what you would do with 30 FQ's!
Then you have to write about the give-away on your blog with a link back here to my site!
The deadline for signing up will be April 20th at midnight!!
Tell all your friends to come and get signed up! If they tell me that you sent them and you should win the give-away, you might just get something extra in your package!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 279 Newer› Newest»Sign me up for the freebies! I like nature colors, esp. fabric I can use for trees, mountains...browns, greens, etc.
Thanks! Happy birthday to your DD!
Devonne / "downsouth"
Hey T ~ Sign me up for the freebies also! I love all fabrics ... but really love blenders right now, as they help my fabrics to, well, blend together :D Thanks for this chance ! And tell DD Happy Birthday... ah, to be 30 again! :D:D:D
Lindsay / Savedsinnr
Happy Birthday to your daughter! One of my favorite kind of fabrics are the 1930's reproductions. I'm in the tail end of the 30's now, turning 30 later this month.
Maybe I should have specified that I am Lisa - TX.
Thank you for running a fun give away and looking forward to seeing you in NH!
Ah, we must be birthday twins as I also turn 30 this month (who's kidding who???) What a nice way to celebrate your DD birthday. However, you must have had her very young as you don't look old enough to have a daughter that age!
Okay, okay--to the task at hand. I ramble so...black and whites are my all-time favorties. I've always liked the prints to use with bright colors for infant quilts. It only takes a pop of color with the BOW/WOB prints to really make a statement. My second favorites are florals, especially pansy prints. Living in the cold and snowy northeast, floral prints always brings a smile to my face and keeps me going until the real thing arrives (sometime in July!)
Can't wait to meet you and the other ladies at COF in a few weeks! Kathleen (KC1930)
Q,
This is a great idea....for those of us that follow your blog.
I love the jeweltones best especially when they are tone on tones.
Good luck in your endeavors.
quiltbea
oough la, la! Thirty!?!??! Really?? Wooo hooo, please enter me in the drawing :)
now lets see... what colors do I like? Lately I've taken a new liking to autumn shades.. or timberberies looking fabrics ;) but I'd be happy with just about anything..
Thanks for the chance to win and Happy Birthday to Heather! ;) ~bonnie
What a fabulous thing for you to do; a give-away in celebration of your oldest DD 30th. birthday. I sure would love to participate in the give-away and help you celebrate too.
I am so looking forward to finally meeting you at the retreat. You have done so much for so many people. You are a blessing.
Susan
~~Tx~~ Wildflower
Oink Oink!! (means Hello and Happy Birthday to your DD)
Sign me up for your give-away. I like 30's and tones on tones. I would love some extra stash.
Your site is very cheery.
Quiltnanny
I don't have a blog to share the giveaway, but thought I'd comment anyway. Just delete if having a blog is an ABSOLUTE MUST. But someone has to read all these blogs! Happy Bday to your daughter! My oldest turns 30 in Nov....what a shock huh? I love greens, blenders, and am happy with anything.
my eldest DD turned 30 this year too!
I am loving black and whites-more traditional than contemporary.
What a great idea!
Thanks for sharing the joy!
Happy birthday to your daughter! Is she a quilter too?
Thanks for such a generous giveaway...
I like most of the fabrics, except way to bright fabrics. I am not much a pink girl, natural and soft tones. #0 FQ's? It would be a quilt for sure.
I will blog about your giveaway in my next post and I quess I should tell you that Bingo-Bonnie from Nap Time News sent me.
OK, I'm BACK!!!
As I was saying before I was so rudely kicked off...;)
I thought this was such a COOL way to celebrate your daughter's birthday! Happy Birthday to Her!
I would like to be added to the drawing please.

Happy BD to your Daughter. Oh to be 30 again, what a joy that would be. I Love cool, but bright colors, purple, teal, some blues and I like the lime if its soft and shaded. I tend to like tone on tones, but also like plaids. If I was LUCKY enough to win 30 fq's I would definately make a quilt to always remind me of being so fortunate and I would keep it for ME!!! Thanks for hosting this most generous give-a-way. kbartolotti@yahoo.com
As my mom's scribe she wanted me to tell you how wonderful this is of you. And Happy Bday to your daughter from all of us. She loves deep romantic colors. Thanks again for sharing.
Loving DD of Vicki0389
That's easy. I am trying to make a comfort quilt a month and 3 FQS would really help. Every other month I am making a Disappearing Nine Patch: you could get a lot of 9 patch blocks out of 3 FQS.

Happy Birthday to your daughter!
Ilove your blog!

What I could do with 30 FQs? I just received 4 new patterns and could definately put them to good use.
First off I have to tell you, I love your little Kiwi Pig!! He is adorable.
Now for my favorites, it would have to be Batiks. But I am trying to branch out a little, and so I also like fall colors.
I will put you up on my blog for the giveaway. I still can not figure out how to post a link, but will tell people to use your link at the side of my blog.

Well, probably just look at it and admire for awhile. I do want to make my granddaughter a quilt so that's probably where it would go. Ok, off to blog about it although I don't want to. Hurt's my chances of being picked LOL
Happy 30th Birthday to your daughter!
I think I like almost any fabric...
Asian, bright colors, polka dots, batiks, hand dyed, flowers, 30s, etc.

Happy birthday to your daughter! Oh to be 30 again...
I don't think I have found a fabric that I haven't liked! Civil War reproduction, batiks, novelties, 30's reproduction...the list goes on and on! I guess the kind of fabric would determine what I would do with them. Civil War fabrics would probably end up in my Dear Jane quilt, 30's fabrics might end up in a new string quilt pattern that I just bought, novelty fabrics might end up in a Project Linus quilt.
WOW! Who wouldn't want 30 FQ's. I like earth tones. I would make a great quilt with the FQ's maybe two!
Thanks for the giveaway.
I found your giveaway from Carla.
I love all fabric, of course. I'm going with my favorite color RED ... all shades of read. What would I make ... well I have a special Christmas quilt in mind ... I have the pattern already.
Happy Birthday DD.
Happy Birthday to your daughter!
My favorite fabrics are just about every Moda line made. I love greens and want to make a new quilt in green for my bedroom. I will post on my blog but I don't know how to link them yet. I'm a newbe.

Happy birthday to your daughter. I just discovered your blog and what a wonderful giveaway. The fabrics that I tend to love are batiks, but I love any fabrics really. Thanks!
Micki
I found out about you from Mimi http://www.quiltramblings.blogspot.com:80/ and thought this was a wonderful idea. I would love some light pink and light green FQs and I would make a quilt for my Mom.

Hi! My name is Pam! My girlfriend/partner at MadCreekDesigns.Etsy.com sent me to this sight! It's wonderful and what a great give-away!
I'm into Civil War fabrics. I'd love to make a new quilt for our bed in Civil War colors and fabrics...the beautiful blues, pinks, blacks, browns, reds, yellows and don't forget a few greens!
We featured you in our blog at MadCreekDesigns also!
I wish your daughter a wonderful year and a happy, blessed birthday! 30 is a lot more fun than 60 and that's what I have coming up next!

I would probibly make a quilt for the new bundle of joy on the way, or maybe a throw quilt for myself to snuggle with the kids under (my dd is 2 1/2!) and tell secrets but I am not a fan of baby/kiddo prints =)

hiyall,
happy birthday thearica;s daughter! my son will be 28 this year. seems only yesterday yall were running around in diapers and eatting things no adults would! 30 FQs, I am flexible on what color and fabric themes. I am kinda fond of feedsack repros (hint-hint).

erzebatbat@aol.com
Hi! thanks for the chance to win. I heard about this at Barb's Bejeweled Quilts. I love all fabrics, especially brights and batiks, pastels...ok I just like them all! I would make a Sampler Quilt out of them. I am going to be making one soon. I will post later today.
The fabrics I like best are whatever moves me at the time. Right now it is large prints in bright colors. If I had 30 FQ's, I would co-ordinate a block exchange with my quilt guild and make up a "starter" for each one! I've posted about you and linked back to your blog.
I think my comment got swept away in cyber land.
Thearica, this is such a generous giveaway, I will definitely blog about it.
Happy 30th Birthday to your daughter!!
I'll be making a quilt for my DB and SIL so I'd like to make them one with fabric that has soft pretty romantic roses.
I love all of the children's fabrics. I like the bright and bold colours. I also like moda fabrics a lot. With 30 fat quarters, I would find a really scrappy quilt to make. My scrappy quilts are planned scrappy so it would be fun to stretch my wings. I was sent here by http://carlafinley.blogspot.com/
Happy 30th Birthday, what a great way to celebrate!
Jackie (at) jackiesue.com posted a link to your blog, and I followed it.
What fabric do I like. I've only been quilting for 3 years, and right now I like everything. I am just starting to build my stash with orientals, I've been putting it off, as I didn't have a project for them. I'm also building my Christmas fabric stash. And of course blenders and tone-on-tone are always nice. Something I don't have in my stash is "kids" and baby prints.
What would I do with the FQs. I am currently redesigning a couple of patterns I have to make softy critters for little ones. FQ's in kids and baby prints would be fantastic to do this project. I'm hoping to give some away as "Trauma Teddys" to our Emergency Services, and possibly a few to our pediatrics ward in the hospital. I would also share my winnings with my 10 year old daughter who has been quilting for just over a year.
Thanks for this opportunity to share.
-Alice

30 FQs is a great giveaway! I'm very into batiks lately. It's time to plan a quilt for my son-in-law, so I would probably use some of the fat quarters for that.

Carla sent me too, lol! My oldest daughter just turned 30 too and now I wish I had thought of a give away too. The fabrics I like the best are ones that contrast in color, pattern or texture. There are no ugly colors or patterns this way. :) I would use all 30 of them in fabric art pieces!I wish your daughter the happiest of birthday!
I am "Just Another Quilter" on www.allpeoplequilt.com I seem to have nothing in my red stash. As I try to increase my stash, I seem to find a lack of good brick reds currently in the stores. I have some great snowman faces and am looking forward to clothing them in hats and scarfs.
Congrats to you and your daughter. You for successfully raising your daughter and her to reaching the milestone.
Happy Birthday to your daughter! One of my favorite kind of fabrics are the 1930's reproductions. 30 FQs is a great giveaway!

Hi! What a great giveaway. I am a new quilter so anything is great to me! Also, Carla sent me!
Howdy! Regena sent me over. Are there any fabrics that aren't my favorite? I would say for right now brights are my favorite but that could change in a couple of minutes.
Congratulations on your daughters birthday, but it sounds as though you are giving gifts to all of us as well. Please count me in for the draw, if I won I would use them in the scrap star quilt I are compiling material for in pinks, browns and soft aquas to baby blues
http://ribbonsandrosebuds.blogspot.com/
Congrats on your DD turning 30...wow....it seems such a long time ago since I was that age. Oh well...What a fantastic giveaway and please enter me in it as I would love to win any but would really like the 1930's ones as I am doing the Dear Jane quilt and need a lot of different fabrics.

I'm here to toss my name in the hat too!
Hmm .. what fabrics .. oh geeze .. love them all .. always trying to rebuild my stash and reach for FQs as those all purpose fillers. hmmm pinks, oranges, yellows, reds, purples
What would I do with them .. I'm having dreams of a doing a bargello and I think that a mess of FQs would be the best way to do a starter / test one :)
Happy bday to your daughter and what an awesome mum to give away fabric to ppl for her daughter's bday
gracequilts at gmail dot com
Hi T
How kind to celebrate your daughter's birthday with such a generous giveaway. Many happy returns of the day to her!
I love fabrics with a nature theme; zoological, botanical and natural texture fabrics (clouds, water, pebbles, etc).
I'm experimenting (through 4 classes this year) with Ricky Tims style convergence quilting which is a great use of fat quarters. I'm also hoping to make some quilts in teen size for Project Linus. My little niece is in an 'I love purple' stage at the moment so I'm planning to start a purple quilt for her soon too :-).
I'm new to quilting this year so haven't got much of a stash to use yet but it's slowly growing, LOL!
All the best

Hey my DD just turned 31 last month, so I understand about these girls of the 80's that they were. LOL
I would love BOW/WOB want to do wedding quilt for a young lady at church, those are her colors. I want to do a pattern I saw in a magazine last month, forget which one, but THINK it was American Quilting, anyhow, called Balancing Act, which is what a marriage can be...
I am Dorothy in Sterling, CO where I hope we don't get snow for Easter, like last week!!!
Happy birthday to your DD! I love most all fabrics. I'm just getting into quilting, and I am going crazy because I just don't have the $ to buy all the fabric I want!
I'm honest....never been here at this blog before....and came from Tozz's Corner. I love all fabric and think your giveaway is very generous especially during the economic times were are in. I'm going back to my blog to post you in the side bar area as a giveaway. Enjoy your Easter weekend. One good thing about these giveaways is getting other bloggers who you never knew was out there....I recently had a giveaway and have met many new blog friends.
This is such a GIVING and cool way to celebrate your daughter's birthday! Happy Birthday to Her!
Please place my name in the pot for the drawing.
I love fabric: batiks, balis, blenders, Asian prints, nature (McKenna Ryan), and brights (think Kaffe F., Amy Butler, etc.)
My current color pallet consists of the shades of iris flowers: purples, blues, mulberry, and deep oranges.
I would like to use the FQs in a bed quilt for my Mom. Or, if the FQs are in earth tones, then a king quilt for my nephew and his bride (after their May wedding of course).
Thank you. M.
Say Happy Birtday to your daughter. I am having my birtday the 22th of April, so I think April is a beautiful month. In fabrics I like everything, but my favorite color is blue. But I never win in lottery so my changes in this giveaway, is minimal. But I try. Love your blog.
Best regards from Elin Synnøve in Norway :-)
What an awesome way to celebrate! Mama Spark referred me from her blog too. (If I am the lucky winner, I'll share with her). My favorite fabrics are the ones that come home to live in my stash and make friends with my brights, batiks, Asian inspired, northwoods, childrens and textural mixers. Good Luck too, with the Quilt raffle! Happy Easter
I love all kinds of fabrics, mainly vintage repros like feedsack fabric, repoudction 30-40 prints and kitchen-type fabrics. I like abstract prints, animal prints (like cute little doggies, not zebra stripes), fabric with food (cupcakes, ice cream, candy) holiday fabric, so many! I would probably stash about half away for some "rainy day" project. I'm so bad about squirreling fabric away and forgetting about it. But the other half I would put to good use right away in a quilt for Porject Linus! I love Eye Spy quilts so lots of little prints would be great!!
Happy Birthday to your daughter...mine is also turning 30 this year in Dec.
I love all fabrics and use a little of everything, but I like working most with 30's fabric, tone on tone and batiks. I would probably use fat quarters to make a lap quilt for me since I don't have one. I've made for everyone in my family, but not for me. Then any remaining fabrics, I'd use in charity quilts for kids that my sewing group makes and donates each year at our quilt show in Feb.
By the way, Jeanne at Luv 2 Stitch sent me over.
wow--30 fq's would be grand! what a cool way to celebrate your dd's bd. i really love all sorts of fabrics but want to start a little collection of 30's. my favorites are thimbleberries fabrics though...well, it would depend on the fabrics recieved of course because each fabric seems to have a little voice of it's own that tells you what it wants to become when used....i do try to listen to the voices--or are those just voices in my head?? LOL

I love all fabric! With 30 fat quarters I'd definitely be making some quilts!
Happy B'day to DD. I like most fabrics and have a small stash, so almost any would be a nice addition. Thank you for the nice celebration.
Hi, great giveaway! I think the fabrics I seem to like best are the freebies. I am kinda partial to bright fun colors, you know the kind if they were crayons you would color outside the lines. If I win I would make a perky fun party dress for your daughter. (I remember my 30th...took me 10 years to say "thirty"), then I would take the daughter out so others could see her and say fun things like, "oh what a pretty young girl", I'm just sayin is all.
I am having a Moda giveaway on my blog with the draw tomorrow night.
http://soggybottomflats.blogspot.com/
I hope your DD has a great birthday, 30 was quite a year for me. If I won the FQs I would look at them, put them away, pull them out again the next day and sort them and pet them. Put them away again and maybe after a week of doing this finally decide what I wanted to do with them. You're sweet for thinking of others on your DD's birthday.

Tell your DD Happy Birhtday from me as well. At the time I love brown and/or pink fabric. If I won such fabric, I would make me a nice comforting quilt with pigtales apliqued on it to memorise you.
Have a nice day.
First of all, Mary at Quilt Hollow pointed me to your blog on her blog and that's how I found you...I'm so glad!!! Now, happy birthday to your daughter, I hope her day is very special. I love all fabrics, just fondleing them is a delight and sewing is even better. But I have to just spread them out and take it all in for a while, visualizing what wonderful projects the uncut pieces can become. Color wise, I'm pretty easy to please but rich deep colors with light contrasts really grab me. Purple is my favorite color though. Hmmm...more simply put, I would adore any type of fabric if was to win this giveaway. What would I do with 30 fat quarters? Hehehe....first, fondle them, then I'd find the perfect quilt for the fabrics and start cutting and sewing. Quilting is my therapy, it takes me completely away from my health issues and the little (and big) stresses of life. Now, I don't have my own blog yet so if I don't qualify to win I fully understand. I'm just really happy I found yours. I'll be back often. Good luck to everyone and have a wonderful day this beautiful Easter day!!!
Who doesn't love fabric?!? Please count me in... I love all things colourful (the sky's the limit).
I presume I would first love it and then sadly cut it into a quilt.
30 fat quarters?? Wow! I would hope that I would get a quilt started right away! How exciting. Thanks for entering me in your give away!
I would also love to be entered in this most generous giveaway.

Wow! what a very generous giveaway... hmmmm picking my favorite fabrics would be like picking a favourite child, but I do love 18th century/civil war repros then 30's, then anything that Blackbird Designs do!
Happy 30th to your Daughter...
Hope you had a wonderful easter/passover
Hi Thearica
What a generous giveaway - 30 fat quarters, and a lovely celebration for your daughter! I found you on May Britt's Abyquilt blog and 30 fat quarters was too good to ignore! The fabrics I like best, now that's hard to choose! I love Japanese fabrics, slightly muted brights, blues, yellows, country, shabby chic! With 30 fat quarters I would use some for applique, some for bags and wall hangings, and maybe a quilt as well! Lots of choices to make with that much fabric!
Goodness God...179 comments so far! Well, it seems that I'm late as usual. Anyway, would love to win this generous giveaway. It would be awesome and would be like a dream comes true if I do win it. So count me in.
