My hubby is an awesome gardener!! He wanted me to share his Bleeding Hearts with all of my readers. Aren't they gorgeous!! He loves his flower gardens and as more start to bloom, I will share more photos!
Please tell your husband I _am_ impressed! I truly love Bleeding Heart -- such lovely flowers -- but cannot seem to grow it at all in my yard here in MD.
Lovely flowers, I will love to see more pictures when you post them. Your husband did a GREAT JOB! Lovely summer flowers is one thing I miss living in AZ. It's too hot here for the many varieties flowers I love. When I was a kid and lived in New York we had Lilies of the Valley, I loved them but haven’t seen them since I was 10. We moved to Florida when I was 11 and I have been a warm weather baby ever since!
These are beautiful. I have never seen these in person only in a quilt book by Eleanor Burns. These are really lovely. They look like they are on a string... I have a yellow thumb. Some things just grow like crazy for me and others take one look at me and die on the spot. I guess if I took more time with the garden like I do my quilting and tatting, I would know what to do with my plants better. Oh well, not enough time to do everything. Thanks for posting the lovely pictures. Linda
Those are just stunning. I was just on the phone with my sister talking about our flowers when I pulled up your blog and seen these. WOW, How long did it take to get this stage? I have never seen any of these, except for pictures and yours are amazing.
well here they are - what I can to see ;) your bleeding hearts! WOW I didn't not expect to see them this big! Tell Butch those are the largest Bleading Heart Bushes I've ever seen. We had a plant in a small pot on sitting on our front door step when we lived in Augusta. We wanted to bring with us when we moved but the movers wouldn't put it on the turck.. and we were flying (with Nora 11 months old at the time) so needless to say we gifted ours to a neighor..
After arriving here, we looked for another but have yet to ever see them for sale - maybe this is not a good zone for them. So I'll just have to admire Butch's ;) Love them!

ReplyDeleteMy mother always had these in our garden in Milwaukee, along with lilly of the valley and rhubarb! They always remind me of home.
