Join us in our efforts to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Stanford located at 520 Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto, CA!! Our contact at the House is Linda Lyons, Development Director! Why don't you take a tour through their HOUSE! Quilters from the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum have joined together to make this fundraiser possible! The whole month of February, quilts will be arriving from all over the country from each of the HGTV Quilters who signed on to make a quilt for the raffle. Visit the RAFFLE POST and read about our raffle and then help us by purchasing tickets! The Ronald McDonald House of Stanford will receive 100% of the proceeds from the raffle! I will continue to update the photos on the slideshow as the quilts arrive! There will be 36 quilts eligible for winning in this years raffle on September 11, 2010!! We raised $1,835.00 for the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC in 2008! We were able to present the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas, TX with $4,000 from last years raffle which was held in July 2009! Can we bust that mark wide open and raise even more with the current raffle! We need your help! Please, tell your family, friends or co workers about this and help us reach our goal of exceeding last year’s ticket sales!! Email me for tickets! Thanks so much for your support!

2 More Made and Ready!

Today has been an ultra busy day. Although my plans were to finish this wallhanging today, other things took precendence. We were at the doctors office at 8:30 this morning to get a shot and more meds. We have been under the weather since last Monday. Enough is enough, right! Well, after sitting there until 10:45 we were headed out the door and on our way to do a few errands that we had put off as long as we could. We got a bite of lunch at the local Subway and came back home.

I then had to do some website updates on the Dare To Be Ugly Challenge I wrote about previously. This took about an hour of my time. We then proceeded to load the truck for a post office run and to do another errand or two in the neighboring city. We finally got back home in time for an early supper.

I then got to climb the 17 stairs to my sewing room. I cut the remaining Charms into Turnovers and prepared to sew the second block. I got an urge to call my friend Elaine and we talked for a good long while. It was a chat I really needed today.

After saying goodnight to Elaine, I finally sat to my task and finished 2 more blocks.

And now it is time to go snuggle hubby!

in case I didn't mention it earier, I think I did, the turnover for this project are brilliant! I hate cutting triangles...so I failed geometry, you got a problem with that? hehe. No actually I aced it, but I hate cutting them still. I like that you are keeping them the same color, are there two of each in a turnover? I might have some stocking stuffer ideas for myself now!

p.s. get well soon dagnabit! =)
