Friends and Birthdays

I have found some of my very best friends online in several different communities! Quilting communities, Facebook and Blogland! And to think if I had not bought my first ever computer, I would have never met the 200+ new friends that I have now! Around 1/2 of these friends I have met in person, some more than once. Some I have spent nights in their homes...some have spent nights in my home!

I spend several hours on the phone with some...especially Nicki! She and I can pass 2 hours away before we know it! I love talking to her and I love it even more that I consider her one of my closest friends! She sent me these wonderful piggie houseslippers for my birthday!

Complete with pigtails

I have also become good friends with Riane from the Netherlands! Her beautiful daughter Brechje touched my heart several months ago and I sent her a quilt along with a Dotee Doll. Since then we have kept in contact either through our blogs or by mail. Riane makes handmade cards and I am the lucky recipient of one of these beauties for my birthday! Along with the cutest ever bag! Thanks Riane! I love both!!

And last but certainly not least by any stretch of the imagination is Elaine!! I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady this past April at my first ever quilt retreat! Elaine warms the hearts of all who come in contact with her! I made a wonderful new friend this year and treasure our friendship always! And I love to hear her voice on the other end of the telephone! Love that accent! She sent me this sweet plaque for my birthday! It will have a spot on my sewing cabinet...once I get it cleaned off! I am such a messy crafter! :)

  2. These are late wishes but I hope your day was wonderful. My computer is trying me at the moment. Firstly, we have a bug that is slowing everything down and then we were offline for a couple of days as the modem died. But I agree with you I love meeting all the lovely people in computerland. Love those piggy slippers.
