Stack and Whack Without The Fuss?

The Missouri Quilt Co. has a tutorial on making a new version of the Stack and Whack block from Turnovers. Well, I had purchased 4 packets of The Caroler Charm Packet by Mary Engelbreit for Moda Fabrics and even though they are not 6 inch squares, I did the math to make a smaller block and now have made my first ever Stack and Whack block without all the fuss!

The wallhanging they made has the blocks with each triangle a different fabric for a scrappy look. The background fabric in theirs is black. My blocks will all be of a different fabric in the charm pack but the blocks themselves will not be scrappy, as you can see in the photo.

8 more blocks to go and I will have a beautiful Christmas wallhanging!

  3. Q, it surely looks like a pinwheel, butits definitely NOT a StackNWhack which are all identical pieces of fabric. I watched their tute.
    Good for making pinwheels tho.
    I'm also going to be looking for those TimTam's this week at W's. They sound tasty.

  4. Thanks for sharing this fun site and I like your blocks. I have heard that the TimTams are very good. I might have to try them. Not that I need to like any other good tasting fatten foods.
