2010 Ronald McDonald House Raffle Quilts! Photos Updated 3/5

Join us in our efforts to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Stanford located at 520 Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto, CA!! Our contact at the House is Linda Lyons, Development Director! Why don't you take a tour through their HOUSE! Quilters from the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum have joined together to make this fundraiser possible! The whole month of February, quilts will be arriving from all over the country from each of the HGTV Quilters who signed on to make a quilt for the raffle. Visit the RAFFLE POST and read about our raffle and then help us by purchasing tickets! The Ronald McDonald House of Stanford will receive 100% of the proceeds from the raffle! I will continue to update the photos on the slideshow as the quilts arrive! There will be 36 quilts eligible for winning in this years raffle on September 11, 2010!! We raised $1,835.00 for the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC in 2008! We were able to present the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas, TX with $4,000 from last years raffle which was held in July 2009! Can we bust that mark wide open and raise even more with the current raffle! We need your help! Please, tell your family, friends or co workers about this and help us reach our goal of exceeding last year’s ticket sales!! Email me for tickets! Thanks so much for your support!

Secret Sister Stocking Swap!!

I love to participate in Secret Sister type things! The joy of putting together the other person's gift is always so exciting! My friend Nicki is hosting a Secret Sister Stocking Swap on the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum and we have to get our packages in the mail because we are due to open them on the 21st. We hope everyone mails on time so that every single secret sister gets to open their stocking with the others!

The person I send to does CQ work, as do many of the secret sisters involved with the swap. I have made her some blocks to embellish once she gets her package! I really hope she likes the ones I made for her. I really like the Flower Fairy one and have enough of those fabrics left to make myself one later on this winter.

All of my gifts would not fit in the stocking so instead of risking ruining some of the things I included with her gifts, I purchased 3 graduating Snowman boxes. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. The recipient of my package will be able to use these year after year as a display during the holidays! I really hope she enjoys what I have put inside each one!

To top off the gift, her stocking is stuffed full of none other than...CHOCOLATES!!!! And my secret sister is gonna be so happy to find one of Nickilee's Needlebooks hanging off of her stocking!

Darn it! For a minute I was hoping it was me who was getting such lovely things from you, but I'm not into CQ so that eliminated me entirely.
Whoever gets your package will be thrilled.
And the chocolates.......how can you go wrong!

What a great idea - CQ blocks for the recipient to embellish. Those are beauties!!

I also couldn't fit a few of my odd-shaped items into my stocking.
