2010 Ronald McDonald House Raffle Quilts! Photos Updated 3/5

Join us in our efforts to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Stanford located at 520 Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto, CA!! Our contact at the House is Linda Lyons, Development Director! Why don't you take a tour through their HOUSE! Quilters from the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum have joined together to make this fundraiser possible! The whole month of February, quilts will be arriving from all over the country from each of the HGTV Quilters who signed on to make a quilt for the raffle. Visit the RAFFLE POST and read about our raffle and then help us by purchasing tickets! The Ronald McDonald House of Stanford will receive 100% of the proceeds from the raffle! I will continue to update the photos on the slideshow as the quilts arrive! There will be 36 quilts eligible for winning in this years raffle on September 11, 2010!! We raised $1,835.00 for the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC in 2008! We were able to present the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas, TX with $4,000 from last years raffle which was held in July 2009! Can we bust that mark wide open and raise even more with the current raffle! We need your help! Please, tell your family, friends or co workers about this and help us reach our goal of exceeding last year’s ticket sales!! Email me for tickets! Thanks so much for your support!

Whats On The Machine!

Well this is the 1st day of December and my plans are to show you something new on my machine each day of this month! I really want to be customer quilt free by the time Christmas arrives. My business plans are going to change some January 1st and I want to be ready for the change. They are good changes, for myself as well as my clients. I am taking Prednisone for inflammation in my bronchials right now so it will help with my arthritis pain in my knees too. I laughed and told my sister this morning that I better make good use of my time while the medicine is in my system. lol

This is my Pig quilt made using all the pig fabrics my friends have sent to me over the past few years on the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum. I showed the top in a previous post. Now it is quilted. I have just a wee bit of frogging to do and replace that stitching because I changed my plans after I started quilting it. It wont take too long to do but will only take about 10 minutes to put back what I take out thank goodness. I am taking out the wording that you see in the photos and replacing it with just the curvy line along the seam lines. I couldnt get my words even across the quilt...I made up a poem and for some lines, there were too many words to fit. Oh well...I will print my poem off and put it on the label.

This quilt belongs to my good friend Georgia. She is giving this to her granddaughter for Christmas. She requested an ABC panto to be quilted on it and I found the perfect one from Dave Hudson's line. Stay tuned to see if this one makes it off the machine tomorrow!

I just love the that pig quilt with all the different shades of greens and those circles. The quilt that your friend has done looks terrific.

ooough, I'm so excited to hear that you're gonna be showing what's on the quilt frame each day! Just what I've always wanted!!! "Start a blog! Start a blog!" hehehe

I still love your piggy quilt - those greens really are a nice background for all the busy fabrics... although the pink/black background one you made and gifted was cute too. When will we find out who the lucky receiver was?

Your snowman background is cute on here too - you are so smart ;)

I'll be back tomorrow...

Love from Texas! ~bonnie
