GiveAway Time!!!

If my dad had not gone to Heaven 40 years ago come Feb 19th, he would have celebrated his birthday a day earlier this year! He was born on Feb 29th, leap year!!

So in honor of my dad's memory, I am having a giveaway for the month of February! I know what I am going to give away but it is a secret! I actually have to make it so I dont have a photo!

So who is game for signing up to win something sight unseen?

I will tell you this much...It pertains to a gospel hymn.

I will draw for a winner on Feb 28th! So get signed up and go and tell your friends to come over for a visit too!

This is my mom and dad in their senior photos! My 2 girls and I all graduated from the same high school! I also meant to add that my dad's mom went to the same school too but she didn't get to graduate.

  4. What a nice way to honor your dad. I worked in Labor and Delivery for many years and it is amazing how many babies are born on Leap Day. I can't imagine wanting to celebrate the real day only every four years.

How nice that you and your children were also able to attend the same school. I am sure you saw a lot of changes in that time.

  17. Lovely sentiments! I lost my dad nearly 30 years ago. He was only 57. I miss the rumbly voice I'd hear as I layed my head on his chest while he sang....sniff. Daddies can't be replaced...
    Love the old hymns...
