Christmas Fancies!

I was browsing some blogs via quilterblogs.com when I spied the cutest little thing to do for the young ones in your family.  Sleighs made of candy! Leah had them posted over at Quilted Delights  Leah had originally found them over at Ellyn's Place!  Don't you just love how great ideas travel through the grapevine!!

Well, I had to go out today and get some candy to make some for the nieces and nephews tonight!  I found CVS and Walgreen's pharmacies both open and came happily home with everything I needed by visiting both stores!  They took a little bit of time to make and I burnt my finger good on the hot glue but they were well worth it because they were a hit!

And if that weren't enough, I found some really cute Brownie Santa hats over at Creative Designs and had to make some of those too!  I did not bring home any! They weren't all eat at supper but everyone had to take some home!  I will make these again but I think I may try to make a pan of thin brownies, ice them with a thin layer of buttercream icing, and slice my strawberries and add a little sugar and spread them over the top.... Then you can eat it with a fork like cake... and have more strawberry!
