Quilt Ladder!!

This is why I LOVE blogging!!!
You never know what idea is lurking on a blog, waiting patiently for you to find it!!

Chris, over at AnAQuilting posted this photo in her latest blog post!

The ladder was too tall for her room so she improvised by hanging it on the wall sideways! I love this because each quilt hangs independently and does not obscure any of the other quilts!  I am on the lookout for ladders now so I can hang several in my quilting studio!!

Thanks for the inspiration Chris!

I saw this done somewhere YEARS ago and fell in love with the idea. Actually even purchased a cool, vintage-looking red ladder but never got it hung. Maybe someday..but I agree, it is a CUTE idea.

Thank you so much for featuring my picture on your blog. I am touched that you found it so interesting. I was very weary about putting it up on my wall but have had a lot of positive feedback both from friends and from the blog universe. Now I just need to put in more supports so that I can hang the rest of the quilts I have stacked up to go on it. I think I am going to only put them in every other spot though for two reasons, one the weight, and two I want to add something interesting other than quilts in between.

Well thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

I am in search of ladders now and I will most likely do the every other rung as well... Something like hearts made from old quilts to hang between maybe?

Wow! That is a great idea. I've got to get my husband to be on the lookout for a vintage ladder, too. Thanks so much for sharing this. Have a super day!
