Quilter's Christmas Party

SewCalGal is hosting a Quilter's Christmas Party on December 9th.
She is  doing this as a virtual party and a physical party (in San Diego). She has sponsors that have donated prizes for door prizes that people can win just for coming to the party, raffle prizes and there will also be a virtual silent auction afterwards.
She is hoping that this event will help  to raise awareness of Operation Homefront which is a nationwide non-profit that strives to help wounded warriors and military families with special needs. For example, they've been providing housing for wounded warriors as they exit the military until they are able to get a job and find a place to live.
They also do things like having large group baby shower parties/give baby gift baskets to wives that deliver babies when their husband is away fighting in a war zone. She is  hoping to connect quilters that make QOV/QOH quilts, Linus Quilts, etc. and route some of these donations over to those in need through the Operation Homefront program.

Please go over to SewCalGal's blog and read more about the Christmas Party and take a peek at all of the prizes up for grabs!  And if you have time please send the sponsors a thank you email for all that they do for blogland!
