I hope that many of you crazy quilters are getting ready for this year's show! :)
I want to welcome all of you crazy quilters to take part in a quilt show dedicated to showing off the art form of crazy quilting. I will be hosting this show here on my blog on May 1, 2013.
The Blog Linky Party
(1) I will have a linky party on this blog for those of you with blogs to come and link up to a blog post on your blog showing off some of the things you have crazy quilted in the past. On May 1, you will create your blog post and then come link up on my blog directly to your post so my readers who come through can click on your link and be taken over to your blog.
(2) For those of you who do not have a blog... You can still participate by emailing me a short story about your crazy quilting and include photos of your crazy quilted pieces. I will create a special page on my blog just for your
story.
Competition Part
There is also going to be a competition part of the show...
You can create a new crazy quilted piece to enter in a chance to win several prizes!
Everyone is cordially invited to submit one (single) piece for competition.
The piece for the 2013 show MUST be brand new, never seen before by anyone.. and this also includes throughout the stages of its creation! The piece cannot have been blogged about or seen in online photo albums.
Your piece can be anything you want it to be.. It does not have to be a quilt.
DUE DATE FOR COMPETITION PIECES: Your photos for the competition MUST be TO me
by April 25, 2013 so I will have time to set up a photo album for the show. Please send in one full view photo and a few close ups showing detailed work.
Submissions for photos of competition pieces close at 12:01 a.m. on April 26 so be sure your photos are in before midnight on April 25. The competition pieces will be ready to view for voting at 12:01 a.m. on May 1 when the show goes live on my blog.
Winners will be decided by blog readers. The readers coming through my blog will email me with their choice of favorite competition piece. The piece with the most votes will win the top award. IP addresses will be tracked to avoid voting scams.
There will be 4 levels of winners prizes awarded!
So, if you want to join in on a fabulous crazy quilt show, whether you enter the competition or if you only want to link up to your blog and/or website that is dedicated to the art of crazy quilting, print off this post and keep it in view and don't forget to come to my blog on May 1, 2013 and take part.

ReplyDeleteOh, Thearica! I am just learning crazy quilting. I am working on two 18" cq pillows for a customer. It is my initiation project. I want to do more, but for myself. I will print this off and check it out more.

ReplyDeleteHi Thearica...I'm a little confused. If you posted this April 16th. And photos are due by the 25th. How does this give us 4 months to work on a new crazy quilt to submit for the show? Sorry if I am misunderstanding something.
