Introducing 2 Sew Alongs for 2013!

I am going to link this up over at Denyse's to help spread the word!

Social Hop Like Crazy

I have had 2 quilts started for a while and I need some motivation from all of you to help me finish them!  So I thought, what better way than a good ole' sew along!  A virtual sewing bee!! That should do the trick!

These blocks are part of my ever growing Hippie Flower Garden Quilt that I have been working on for a while, a little bit here and a little bit there.  I really want to get this quilt finished in 2013!  I am using fabrics with peace signs and the words peace, hence the name. I am using the Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt pattern in a different way than normal.  I am making my GFG blocks and then needle turning them down on to the background square. Nothing like finding an easier way to do things. :)

I had a sew along early last year or it might have been late 2011, I can't remember now, for the GFG quilters.  I want to revive that sew along and hope that the ones taking part then will come back in again and bring some friends with them. I welcome everyone who wants to take part!

GFG Sew Along and Linky Party!
2nd Tuesday of each month!

How To Participate:  Work on your GFG blocks and get as many finished as you can between now and the 2nd Tuesday of each month, January being on the 8th.  Then create a post on your own blog and post a photo of the blocks you have finished.  Give a shout out for the sew along in your post and give a link back here to my blog.  Then come over here and link up directly to that post so my readers can come and see your beautiful blocks!  Visit at least a few of the links that have been posted and leave some comment love to keep those quilters motivated to take part in the following months! Then sit back and watch as new friends come to your blog to see what you have done!

Every month on the 2nd Tuesday, there will be a new linky party in place for you to link up with the newest blocks you have completed since the last linky party. :)

Please add the button to your sidebar to help me spread the word! Thanks so much!

These blocks are part of a Mini Churn Dash Quilt that I have been working on for about a year now, a little bit here and a little bit there just like the GFG.  I really want to get this quilt finished in 2013 too!   I want both quilts hanging on the walls of my studio by December!

For now, get to work on those blocks! vroom-vroom!!

Please place the buttons on the sidebars of your blogs to help spread the word for the linky parties for now! Thanks so much!
