Words To Live By

Congratulations to JudyB for winning my giveaway!  She has been sent an email and if she does not reply in 10 days, I will re-draw a new winner!  Thanks to everyone for their awesome comments!!

What a wonderful tribute to your Granddaddy! I think Believe would be the word I would choose. Believe in yourself and in others. Thank you for sharing. I follow via GFC.

********************************

I totally love this little quilt!  I had no idea how it would turn out until the top was completely finished but it just makes me smile!!! And I couldn't help but include the bears my hubby and I have given to each other since we have been together.  He gave me the large bear with the words "I Love You" inscribed on the heart.  I gave him the 2 smaller bears... the white bear has arms that can hug things so she is always hugging the brown bear. :)

This quilt top has been made to join the "In Your Words" blog hop being hosted over at Madame Samm's blog.  Her partner in crime for this hop is none other than Linda from Buzzing and Bumbling!  They both have brought to us all another fabulous fun and exciting time!

Madame Samm gave us a board when we signed up so that we could put it in to a photo editing site and add words that described us.  The words that I put in mine all pertain to me in some way or other.  Mine ended up looking like this...

Our projects were to have words on them that described us as well.  I did not want to use the same words that I put on my board so I went another route.  The words that I put on the quilt that I made were words that I grew up around and now apply to my life.  Not only were these words spoke verbally, but they were always in action while I was growing up around my granddaddy.  And as we all know, actions speak louder than words!  I speak of my granddaddy often on the blog and he was always a shining example of the following words.

If granddaddy were here today he would tell you...

Love your family, friends, and neighbors.  But most of all love the Lord.

Give of your time and talents because they are worth far more than money.

Family is special, never take them for granted.

Pray without ceasing.

Be happy with what you have, there are others with far less than you.

Always honor your word.

Do not be afraid of work.

When you smile, you make others around you happier.

Always be polite.

Respect your elders.

Be kind to everyone.

I was raised with these words and I raised my daughters with them as well.  I might be a little biased but I believe I have 2 fantastic daughters!  They are bringing their children up with their lives centered around these words as well. I love them all to the moon and back a million times!

AND I love my granddaddy and miss him terribly!!

Thank you for visiting my blog for the hop and now if you want to see even more inspiring projects that will all have words on them... Just visit these bloggers who are also up today!
