New Projects For Winter

My mind is spinning with new ideas, thanks to a few friends who were de-stashing!  I bought this beautiful piece of Phillipines embroidery from my friend Connie.  I plan to create a Christmas wallhanging with it.  Can you see the tree silhouette?  It is what I saw the moment I clicked on the photo.

I also purchased these Hummel embroideries from a lady in Canada.  I am planning a CQ piece with these.  this one will come later but I already am looking for items that will go with the Hummel theme.

And my friend Debra was de-stashing and had these vintage Basket blocks up for grabs! It took me a few days to decide that I would really like to give these beauties a chance at becoming a quilt so I bit the bullet and bought them.  I have a plan to totally remake these blocks.  There are 19 total and I plan to do 2 wallhangings and maybe a pillow with the left over block. I will share my progress along the way.

First up, before I begin any of these new projects, is to complete a couple of things already started.  I need to reduce the UFO pile! I missed sewing and quilting this summer so I hope to make up for lost time this winter!

What is on your sewing and quilting agenda for the coming long winter months?
